For one of our clients, a leading diversified business group, we are seeking an Economic Analysis Team Manager to establish, lead, and develop the Group’s economic analysis function.
Reporting to the CFO, this is a highly visible role combining team leadership with substantial hands-on analytical work. The position covers transaction and investment analysis, financial modelling, budgeting and performance management, and support for the Group’s business development activity.
The role provides exposure to a broad portfolio of businesses across real estate, retail, and energy, with direct access to senior management and key business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Establish the Group’s economic analysis function, including its methodologies, processes, and professional standards.
Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop the economic analysis team.
Evaluate the financial viability of transactions, investments, and strategic projects.
Build detailed financial models, business scenarios, and valuations.
Analyze the performance of the Group’s businesses, including revenue, costs, financing structures, profitability, and key performance indicators.
Lead the Group’s annual budgeting process and oversee monthly budget-versus-actual analysis.
Develop financial and business forecasts to support management decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and optimize business performance.
Translate commercial agreements and transaction structures into financial models and assess their economic implications.
Conduct market and industry analyses and support business development initiatives.
Present insights and recommendations to senior management and work closely with business leaders across the Group.
