A growing international investment firm specializing in consumer debt portfolios is looking for an experienced professional to lead its Investment Analytics team.
Data and analytics sit at the heart of the investment process. Every portfolio acquisition is evaluated, priced, monitored, and optimized through rigorous financial and analytical work. The company operates with a lean, senior structure, providing significant exposure to investment decisions and senior leadership.
The Role
The Head of Investment Analytics will lead the analytical function supporting the firm's investment activity and transactions.
The team owns deal analytics end-to-end — from evaluating and pricing new investment opportunities, through underwriting and transaction analysis, to monitoring portfolio performance after acquisition.
This is a highly commercial role combining investment analysis, financial modelling, transaction work, and team leadership. You will work closely with portfolio managers and senior management, bringing the analytical perspective directly into investment and commercial decision-making.
The role reports directly to a senior member of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the analytical work supporting new investment opportunities, including pricing, underwriting, financial modelling, and portfolio evaluation.
Manage and develop a team of analysts, taking responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and commercial relevance of their work.
Partner closely with portfolio managers and senior stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
Analyze transaction economics, challenge key assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and translate complex analysis into actionable investment insights.
Monitor acquired portfolios and evaluate actual performance against the assumptions used during underwriting and pricing.
Use portfolio performance insights to continuously improve pricing methodologies and future investment decisions.
Develop and improve analytical processes, tools, and working methodologies across the investment function.
Drive the adoption of modern AI and analytical tools to increase efficiency while maintaining a high standard of analytical rigor.
Requirements
Relevant professional background in investments, credit funds, private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, debt investing, or a similar transaction-oriented environment.
Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, including experience building, reviewing, and challenging transaction models.
Strong commercial understanding and the ability to evaluate how transactions generate returns and where their key risks lie.
Experience leading, managing, or mentoring analysts.
Ability to work directly with senior stakeholders and contribute confidently to commercial and investment discussions.
High level of ownership, independence, and attention to detail.
Fluent English.
Advantage
Experience in consumer credit, NPLs, receivables, or debt portfolio investments.
Knowledge of SQL and/or Python and experience working directly with large datasets.
Exposure to international credit markets.
Experience presenting investment analysis and recommendations to investment committees, boards, or senior management.
